Follow these simple steps to install Spigot on your Minecraft Server

We recommend installing Paper instead of Spigot because of the many performance benefits which Paper utilises.

  1. First, login to the SMpicnic Control Panel and navigate to your Server Manager page.
  2. Stop your server.

  3. If you are switching game versions, we recommend creating a new world to prevent any conflicts.
  4. Click on the Installer tab.

  5. Click the blue Install button to install the latest version of Spigot. Alternatively, you can install an earlier version by clicking the Versions button.

  6. Finished! SMpicnic will now automatically install Spigot onto your Minecraft Server. See our tutorial on installing plugins! Happy mining! ⛏️

Upload your own version of Spigot

  1. First, login to the SMpicnic Control Panel and navigate to your Server Manager page.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Download Spigot.
  4. Open FileZilla and login through FTP access.
  5. Copy the downloaded .jar file to your main server directory.

  6. Click on the Installer tab.

  7. Scroll down and click the CUSTOM JAR category.

  8. If the upload was successful, then your custom JAR file should now be visibile.

  9. You can then click the Run File button next to your custom uploaded Spigot file.
  10. Finished! Your uploaded Spigot version will now be run. Happy mining! ⛏️
